“Summer is definitely / hopefully on its way and we’ve had a little taste of the warm sunshine on our backs recently, to put a smile back on our faces.

I have recently returned from yet another fabulous school camp week with Mary Elton School, visiting Mill on the Brue. A little bit of paradise in England in my eyes. It is the most amazingly beautiful, environmentally aware, scrumptiously catered and child friendly place I know. From the handpicked and home made fayre (of which I was forced to return for seconds and thirds); exciting and challenging activities (squealing like a banshee on the extreme zip wire); team building (encouraging me through a very narrow tube which I struggled around my hips during tunnelling); midnight feasts and gossip into the early hours (and that was the staff); but best of all was seeing rosy cheeked, well-nourished and fully fresh aired children coming back home to their parents, exhausted but happy”.
