Jobs & Volunteering

We're on the look out...

1.  Instructors 2019

Due to an exceptional year we are looking for two more exceptional instructors to join our team.

We will reward you for your loyalty and hard work with regular training opportunities and support in gaining NGB awards.

Ideally you will have some previous instructional, teaching or coaching experience. Our preference is that candidates have a UKCC British Canoeing Level 1 Coach award, although we may be able to recruit candidates working towards this award.

This is a temporary contract until mid August with the potential to extend for the right candidate.

  • Training will be provided for the role.
  • Onsite accommodation available with WiFi and weekly cleaning.
  • Vibrant location with local facilities and social opportunities all within easy reach.

2.WWOOF’s (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms)

WWOOF is a world wide exchange network where bed, board and practical experience are given in return for help on organic farms. WWOOF provides excellent opportunities for organic training, changing to a rural life, cultural exchange and being part of the organic movement. As part of our membership with WWOOF, we are offering WWOOF posts here at Mill on the Brue. In exchange for your help in working in our vegetable and flower gardens, we provide you with comfortable and warm accommodation with delicious meals, full board and a variety of practical experiences. Stays of varied length are possible.

You can experience cultural exchange, eco-friendly gardening and being part of our environmental movement as well as social interaction with other young members of staff who also live on-site. If you are interested in a fun and rewarding time please get in touch for more details.

Dates available now until the end of November. You do have to be WWOOF member to volunteer.
