Chef required to join a friendly, enthusiastic and capable team catering for mainly primary age children.

Experience of and ability to produce nutritious and delicious locally sourced, seasonal meals essential.

Qualifications not necessarily important – ability to do the job and experience of this type of catering essential.

  • Shifts 7.00am – 3.00pm or 12.30pm – 8.30pm

Ability to work on a multi-level site with stairs essential

Key Tasks:

  • Assist in preparation of nutritious and delicious meals for all client groups
  • Allergen aware
  • Lead chef on shift when required
  • Serving food to minimise food waste
  • Directing other members of the catering team as required
  • Setting up the Longhouse for meal and break times
  • Cleaning down the kitchen and Longhouse
  • Deep cleaning the kitchen as directed by the Catering Manager
  • Stock rotation, receiving and checking deliveries as directed by Catering Manager
  • Kitchen paperwork to include temperature recording
  • Ensure that any complaints are passed onto the Catering Manager
  • Actively uphold the Centre’s environmental policy

Salary: £22,000 – £25,000 (pending experience) per annum pro rata
