Education in the great outdoors

Learning in the Outdoor Classroom (LOtC) approved centre makes Mill on the Brue a perfect environment to inspire people. With over 40 activities to choose on our 20 acre estate we can tailor make your programme to suit the needs and requirements of your group.

Residential Courses Day Camps Summer Camps

Residential Courses

We offer mid week courses or weekends for up to 60 children in two separate accomodation buildings all year.  One instructor for 12 children ratio that stays with the group for the entire stay crucially helping to develop trust and a better understanding.

 

Day Groups

Either 5 hours or 2 1/2 hours of activities with a great selection of fun, interesting, team building and educational programmes.

 

Summer Camping

Overlooking the Brue valley our campsite has tents able to sleep 6 children on woodern bases and a capacity of 45 children.

High Ropes - 1 1/2 hours

12 metre high ropes course with various elements which can be combined or run separately according to your programme. See the descriptions of the different elements.

Challenge Track 2
Challenge Track 2 - 1 hour

Again group problem solving and initiative tasks, including the Bottomless Pit and the Gallows. Recommended for 12+ age group.

Air Rifle Shooting - 1 1/2 hours

1.77mm air rifles in an enclosed shooting shed. A target sport, particularly suited to the less active.

Spider’s Web - 30 minutes

The classic communication activity based in Challenge Track 2.

Crafts
Crafts - 1 to 2 hours

The Craft Centre is fully equipped with many resources including a pottery wheel.
